Puff Pastry Apple Turnovers

These easy apple turnovers are flaky, buttery, and bakery quality! You will love the tender apples and cinnamon filling. Great to have on hand for a quick breakfast or comfort food dessert!

Ingredients

Preheat oven to 375F. Thaw puff pastry sheets and cut into 8 squares (4/sheet).

Step 1

Place 1 heaping tablespoon apple pie filling on each square. Fold pastry over apple mixture making triangles. Crimp edges with a fork to seal. Make small slits to release steam.

Step 2

Make egg wash by whisking 1 egg and a little water. Brush pastry triangles with egg wash. Sprinkle with coarse sugar (optional).

Step 3

Place pastries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes or until golden brown. While baking, prepare the glaze.
