Step 1

In a large pot with salted water, boil the potatoes for 8-10 minutes or until fork tender. 

Return empty pot to cooktop and melt 3 tablespoons butter. Stir in the flour and whisk while cooking for 2-3 minutes to remove the raw flour flavor.

Step 2

Whisk in milk and cook for 5-6 minutes or until thickened. Stir in salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
