Ingredients

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 400F. In a large pan over medium high heat, add olive oil, onion, and ground beef.

Cook until the ground beef is cooked through and the onion is tender, using a spoon to break up the ground beef. Add the garlic, bay leaves, Italian seasoning, and tomato paste. Stir to combine.

Step 2

Stir in crushed tomatoes and water. Bring to a low boil. Remove from heat and place in the preheated oven, uncovered.

Step 3

Bake for 1 hour stirring a few times while baking. Sauce should be bubbly and reduced in volume slightly. Remove and let cool.
