Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper.
Cut baguette into 1 inch slices, but only cutting 3/4 of the way through. Be sure not to cut all the way through.
In a small bowl, combine butter, garlic powder, cajun seasoning, and dried parsley. Mix well.
Using a brush or knife, spread butter mixture evenly in between the slices and over the top of the loaf.
Sprinkle the top of the loaf with parmesan cheese.
Place garlic bread on prepared baking pan and bake for 8-10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the bread starts to turn golden brown.
Tear or cut into pieces and serve warm.
Notes
Cajun seasoning is optional, additionally the amount can be changed to add more or less spice if desired.
For easier clean up, aluminum foil or parchment can be used to line the sheet pan before cooking.
It is easier to keep the loaf intact for cooking, but if you accidentally cut all the way through the loaf when slicing in step 2, just press the pieces back together on the sheet pan for cooking.
if you want to keep this warm while you are waiting to serve, wrapping in foil and keeping warm in the oven is the best way.
