Easy No Bake Chocolate Lasagna
Chocolate Lasagna is the best no bake, creamy, chocolatey, layered dessert that is easy to make and the first to disappear at any gathering!
What can be better than hearing the words “chocolate” and “no-bake” in the same sentence? Getting to eat it.
When I am craving chocolate which is pretty much all the time, I want something fast to satisfy it. You can’t get much easier than no bake!
No Bake Chocolate Lasagna Recipe
Of all the chocolate desserts out there, this one is at the top of my list.
Layers of creamy cheesecake and rich chocolate pudding all set on an Oreo cookie crust and topped with fluffy whipped cream.
Perfect for making ahead of time, this Oreo lasagna will be the favorite of the party and everyone will be begging you for the recipe.
Other no bake desserts to try are my Peanut Butter Fluff, Strawberry Shortcake Fluff, and vintage Cherries in the Snow.
Ingredients Needed
Oreo cookies – I like to use regular Oreos or double stuffed chocolate cookies.
Cream cheese – Feel free to use regular, low fat, or fat free versions.
Pudding mix – You will need both chocolate and cheesecake instant pudding.
Whipped topping – Use the frozen whipped topping like Cool Whip.
Pantry staples – Granulated sugar, unsalted butter, milk.

How to Make Chocolate Lasagna
Oreo Crust: Crush Oreos into cookie crumbs (I used my food processor) and mix in a bowl with melted butter. Mix well and press the crumbs into the bottom of the pan to form a first layer.
Cover and chill for 30 minutes or more.
Cream Cheese Layer: In a bowl, blend together softened cream cheese and sugar until light and fluffy.
Stir in 1/2 the whipped topping until smooth. Spread the cream cheese mixture over chocolate cookie crust layer. Chill in refrigerator at least 30 minutes.
Chocolate Pudding Layer: In a large bowl, combine chocolate and cheesecake pudding mixes with cold milk until creamy, thick, and smooth.
Spread a layer of chocolate pudding mix over the cream cheese filling. Chill in the refrigerator at least 15 minutes or until pudding is set.
Topping Layer: Spread the remaining whipped topping over the chocolate layer and garnish with sprinkles or your favorite topping.

How long does it last?
Store any leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days. Just keep it in an airtight container or wrap it tightly in plastic wrap.
You can also whip up this dessert up to 3 days in advance. Be sure to store in the refrigerator, tightly wrapped.
Favorite Toppings
- chocolate curls or chocolate shavings (use your veggie peeler)
- chocolate sprinkles
- sprinkle with cocoa powder
- mini chocolate chips
- chocolate syrup (lightly drizzled)
- crushed Oreo cookies
- toasted nuts (I like pecans)
- dusting of powdered sugar
What is a substitute for Cool Whip?
You are free to make your whipped topping from scratch (roughly 3 cups of heavy cream). Beat until you have stiff peaks.
Don’t use the stuff in the spray can, it doesn’t stay fluffy enough. Just be sure to use equal amounts.
Tips for No Leftovers
- Use whole Oreos. You can even switch up for the golden Oreos too.
- No food processor? Place cookies in a plastic bag and beat with a rolling pin into fine crumbs or small pieces.
- A 9×13 glass dish is perfect for this dessert.
- Freeze for 15-30 minutes to make it easier to slice.
- Wipe knife between slicing.
- Make sure your pudding mixes are INSTANT and NOT Cook & Serve.
- Keep tightly covered with plastic wrap until ready to serve.
- Chill at least 2 hours in the fridge or in the freezer for 1 hour to make sure it’s set.
- Want more intense flavor? Switch up the pudding flavors with chocolate, white chocolate, chocolate fudge, or cheesecake.
